Patsy King
Patsy King (born in 1930) is an Australian character actress. A Melbourne theatre- and television-performer, who trained as a Shakespearean actress with the Melbourne National Theatre, she spent her early days in the United Kingdom. During the 1970s, she also appeared in many Australian television series, including: ''Power Without Glory''; ''Homicide''; ''Division 4''; ''Hunter''; ''Bellbird''; ''The Sullivans''; ''Chopper Squad''; ''Bluey''; ''Out of Love''; Good Morning, Mr. Doubleday; ''The Long Arm''; ''Adventure Island''; and ''Play School''. Her best-known role was that of Governor Erica Davidson in the cult soap opera ''Prisoner'', a role she played from 1979 to 1983, with guest reappearances in 1984 and also touring England with the stage play. 〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Patsy King at the IMDB )〕 ==Theatre == Her theatre stage credits are diverse, including the Ray Lawler play Summer of the Seventeenth Doll, Elvira in ''Blithe Spirit'', Margaret in ''Absurd Person Singular'', Helena in ''A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur'', Helen in ''Half a Sixpence'', Angelica in ''Love for Love'', and Erica in ''Prisoner Cell Block H: The Stage Play''. She earned the Erik Award for her portrayal of Agnes in ''Fourposter'', and has also received the Melbourne critics' award. King has attended many ''Prisoner'' cast reunions, including the 30th Anniversary Prisoner reunion, and also appeared in the documentary "On The Inside". King is still a regular theatre actress and performer, and recently toured in the A.R. Gurney stage play, Love Letters.
